Entrepreneur Stacey Boyd founded Olivela, a luxury retailer with doing good built into every transaction, in 2017 in beta. The company launched with 12 brands. In 2019, the company incorporated and today, 400+ luxury brands are now a part of Olivela. Twenty percent of every purchase made on the site supports Olivela’s charitable partners. Prior to launching Olivela, Boyd launched Schoola, an online retailer selling gently used children’s clothing to benefit schools in need. To date, Schoola’s platform has reached over 35,000 schools nationwide. 1 in 4 schools in the US use the Schoola platform and Schoola processes up to 10,000 units a day. Prior to Schoola, Stacey founded Project Achieve, an information management system for primary and secondary schools. At the time at which she sold the company and transitioned out, its software was available to 15% of US schools. Boyd earned her MBA and Masters in Public Policy from Harvard. Boyd’s work has been featured on CNN, PBS, Today Show and in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, New Yorker, USA Today, Washington Post, Vogue and numerous other publications. Boyd is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at Harvard Business School.
