Kelsey is a Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer at Nex Cubed, a frontier technology venture capital firm. Target investment areas include artificial intelligence, digital healthcare, fintech, protech, e-commerce, sportstech and wellness. The firm has over 70 portfolio companies and offices in NYC, San Francisco and San Diego, with Charleston, Orange County and Singapore locations launching soon.
Previously Kelsey was a Managing Director at NextGen Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund with offices in DC, NYC, Boston, Chicago, and Austin. While at NextGen, she launched the NYC office, helped spearhead their first $22 million fund, led investments for NYC and the Bay Area, and built a coalition of 150+ technologists, capital partners, and angel investors who served as venture partners.
Prior to Nextgen, Kelsey was a Director at Techstars where she sourced and screened over 40 investments for their fund and launched three accelerator programs in conjunction with Disney (digital media and entertainment), R/GA (connected devices, IoT), and Kaplan (edtech). She has an extensive background in private equity and M&A, including experience with The Carlyle Group, 3i Group, and Credit Suisse. Over the course of her career, she has completed transactions totaling more than $20 billion. Kelsey is a frequent guest lecturer on topics related to VC and entrepreneurship, board member of Harvard in Tech, and advisor to multiple early-stage startups.
