Sharon (HBS-06) is an entrepreneur with experience building online consumer ventures and data-driven monetization platforms from the ground up. Sharon is currently developing a digital media platform for the nation’s largest manufacturer of networked and screened vending machines, while dabbling with the idea of her next early-stage venture: a consumer mobile app in the travel space. Prior Experience:Sharon co-founded and led business development for Boston-based HitBliss, an online entertainment service offering TV shows the day after they first air and movies day and date with their DVD release from Warner Bros., Paramount, NBCU and Starz Media. Featuring a targeted advertising platform with gamification elements, the HitBliss ad experience delivered 20x above industry benchmark performance for its brand advertisers. Sharon started her first company, Pixamo, as an HBS student. Pixamo was among the first online consumer photo sharing sites to feature social tagging, viral sharing features and targeted advertising. In 2007 -six months after Sharon graduated from HBS- Pixamo was acquired by NameMedia for a significant premium.
